Rhodini, Rhodes public park, is located not far from the centre of the city. Artificial canals and lakes decorated with various plant, a small zoo and many flowers create an idyllic environment which the visitor seeks after his visit to the nearby cemetery.
The cemetery which dates from the 4rth and 3 rd centuries is located south wets of the park.
Among the rock carved tombs one tomb, “The tomb of Ptolemy” can be seen. The name is medieval in origin and has no historical validity. The tomb's shape is square, each side of the base is decorated with Doric pillars and measures 28meters in length.
