How to get to Rhodes

Fly…

There are daily flights of Aegean Airlines & Olympic Airways from El Venizelos Athens Airport to Rhodes. Moreover there are 2-3 flights weekly from Thessaloniki to Rhodes. The duration of the latter flights is approximately 1 hour, while it will take you no longer than 45 minutes to fly to the island from Athens. You can also fly to Rhodes from the islands of Karpathos, Kos, Kasos, Megisti, Crete (Heraklio), Santorini and Mykonos. Additionally during high season there are plenty charter flights from several European capitals. If you prefer the flying…dolphins, then you will find some heading the Rhodes island from the islands of Kalimnos, Karpathos, Ikaria, Kasos, Kos, Diafani, Megisti, Nissiros, Symi, Tilos, Halki, Samos, Fournos and Astipalea.


By boat…

If you are in Athens and want to go by ferry to Rhodes…well do not forget to take along a book, magazines, your cd player, playing cards and whatever else you think will help you pass on board12-16 hours (depending on the type of ferry) From April to October there are also sailings once a week from Thessaloniki ( 22 hours) and Alexandroupoli (27 hours). Moreover if you find yourself on the island of Astipalea, Karpathos, Kalimonos, Kasos, Kos, Leros, Megisti, Leipsous, Nissiros, Symi, Tilos, Halki, Crete (Heraklion, Aghios Nikolaos or Sitia), Limnos, Chios, Ios, Naxos, Paros, Santorini, Samos or Syros you will find a ferry to get you to the beautiful Rhodes.


Indicative rates

• A one way flight ticket from Athens to Rhodes will cost around 120 Euros - book your tickets early to get special offer
• A standard tourist fare from Piraeus port to Rhodes is about 33 Euros
• A standard tourist fare from Thessaloniki port to Rhodes is about 46 Euros
• If you decide to take your car along for your vacation on Rhodes, it will cost you approximately 89 Euros (from Athens) and 180 Euros (from Thessaloniki)


From Turkey…

Every day you will find several boats (flying dolphins and high speed ferries) for localities on the nearby coast of Asia Minor. Why not visit the neighbor country for a day or two while you enjoy your vacation on Rhodes? But make sure before you have your passport with you. At Marmari (Turkey) there are daily Flying Dolphin sailings organized, departing on 08.30 and returning on 15.00. Also from Symi island there are daily excursions to Datsa, a small town of Turkey on the coast opposite of the island.
